The funeral of the Late Derrick Williams will be held on the 24th July 2019 at the Gwent Crematorium, Cwmbran at 1.30pm

We are very shocked and saddened at the news of the untimely passing of Derrick 'Degs' Williams at the age of 30. Derrick was a very popular player of Lucas Cwmbran Football  Club and passed away after collapsing 10 minutes into a club fixture on Saturday 6th July 2019. Our sincere condolences go out to the family of Derrick and also to the entire Lucas Cwmbran Football Club.

The funeral of the Late Keith Hammett will be held at 11.30am on Thursday 11th July 2019 at Langstone Vale Crematorium, Magor Road, Langstone, Newport. NP18 2BP. The wake will be held at Ringland Labour Cub.  RIP Keith.

At the recent MBS Newport & District League Presentation Evening the 1st Prize was won and then given back to be donated to a Children's Ward. Officers of the League took the prize to Ty-Hafen Childrens Home today. Many Thanks to the League:

The Association are saddened to hear of the passing of Asosciation Referee Keith Hammett. This has come as a complete shock and our sincere condolences go out to all the family.

The Association are very sad to hear of the passing of Michael “Titchy” Price, from Argoed near Blackwood, on Monday, May 27th 2019 aged 25.

Michael was a very popular player with Argoed Reform Football Club.

Michael's funeral will be held at St Sannan's Church in Bedwellty on Monday 17th June 2019 at 10:00am followed by interment at Bedwellty Cemetery and a reception at the Top Hat Bungalow Club in Oakdale.

The Association would like to send our sincere condolences to all the family at this very traumatic time.

Congratulations to Albion Rovers Football Club on avoiding relegation from the Welsh League in the last game of the season. Goal difference came to their rescue.

Congratulations to Cwmbran Town Football Club on winning the GCFA Senior Cup after beating Ynysddu Welfare Football Club 1-0 in the Final.

Congratulations to Abertillery Excelsiors Football Club on winning the GCFA Amateur Cup after beating Crickhowell Football Club 5-0 in the Final.

Please note, due to sign-up figures to date, the Female Referees Coursend the Female Referees Conference has been amalgamated. This will allow a few more weeks to increase the sign up figures. The new date will be 9th June @Dragon Park commencing at 10.15am. Candidates will be expected to attend the practical session but the afternoon conference session will not be mandatory but naturally we would prefer if candidates decided to attend this also.

Caldicot Town have won the Gwent County Under 16 Cup beating Fleur-de-Lys 6-5 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 after extra time.

Congratulations to Cwmbran Town Junior Football Club on winning the GCFA Under 14 Cup beating Ponthir Junior Football Club 2-1 in the Final.

Congratulations to Villa Dino/Christchurch Girls on reaching the Final of the FAW Under 16 Girls Cup. They will take on Penrhyn Bay Girls on the 7th April 2019.

 

Congratulations to Abergavenny Women's Football Club on reaching the FAW Women's Welsh Cup Final. They will take on Cardiff Met Women's Football Club on the 14th April 2019.
