The following criteria is that laid down by the League for clubs who wish to apply for entry into the League.

 

Gwent County League
Ground Criteria
   
1 All Clubs shall have the playing area of their ground permanently enclosed by means of a suitable metal and/or concrete structure  — rope or wire is not acceptable.
 
2 All Clubs to provide covered accommodation for the Trainer and Substitutes of both teams.
 
3 All Clubs must keep their grounds in proper playing condition and maintain a good playing surface.
 
4 Goal nets and regulation height corner flags to be used at all times. The pitch markings to be easily distinguishable by match officials and players — under normal circumstances they should be white.
 
5 All clubs to provide adequate dressing room accommodation within reasonable proximity of the playing area, with separate accommodation for each team and match officials.
 
6 All Clubs to provide separate showering/washing facilities for each team and match officials.
 
7 Adequate toilet facilities to be provided for each team and match officials.
 
8 The Home Club shall provide as a minimum, tea or some form of liquid refreshments for all players and match officials at half time.
 
9 The Home Club shall produce a match programme or duplicate sheets to include the names of the players of both teams, together with the Referee and Assistants.
 
10 All Clubs must provide first aid equipment (which must include a stretcher) at their ground. The location of this equipment to be clearly marked in the dressing rooms of the teams and officials.
 
11 All these facilities shall be approved by the League Management Committee and must not be allowed to deteriorate below the standard required by the League.
 
12 This criteria must be in place by the 30th April each year, permission to play at other venues other than the Clubs existing ground will not be allowed. Any Club gaining promotion to the First Division without the ground criteria on their existing ground in force by the 30th April each year will be refused promotion. 
 
Clubs in breach of these standards shall be liable to such penalties as the League Management Committee deem appropriate.
