Gwent
have qualified to represent Wales in the next stage
of the Eufa Regions Cup tournament to be held in
Israel in September. They dominated the game against
Central Wales from start to finish. Central Wales
came unstuck by fielding a Club side (Tregaron Turfs
FC) after they won the Aberyswyth League with ease
and went on to defeat North East Wales and North
Wales Coast in the Northern section. Outstanding for Gwent were captain Ben Burrows in
mid-field, Adam Bishop at centre back and hat trick
hero Mark Millinship. Goals in the first half by
Mark Dunn, Ben Burrows, Michael Williams (pen),
Matthew Palmer and Mark Millinship sent Gwent in at
half time 5-0 up. In the second Mark Millinship went
on to complete his hat trick and substitute Lee
Bancroft rounded off the scoring. We have been
paired with Israel, Czech Republic and Malta in the
next stage to be held between the 2nd September and
the 8th September 2008. |
